Account opening

Providing account opening information such as name, mobile number, email address, e.t.c. are compulsory to open an account and use the Citi Monitor software.

Media

When media files containing embedded location data are uploaded to the software, location data may be collected from these media documents.

Customer support

When a user contacts us for technical support or any other communications through emails, phone or any other means, the user may provide information related to the use of our service.

Device and Connection Information

User information relating to their hardware model, operating system, app version, IP address and ISP are collected by us.

Usage and Log Information

Usage and log data of activities user perform such as app setting, frequency of interaction with the software, duration of interaction, time of day. etc. are collected on the software

Third-Party We Receive Data From

Users of our software may provide information about you if you commit an infraction. Information can also be provided through comments made on the community platforms whether you commit an infraction or not.

Third party services such as app stores and advertising agencies may also provide information about an end user. . .

Embedded Content From Other Websites

Articles on this software may include embedded content (e.g. images, links, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH

Co Trust does not transfer user’s data to any third parties unless such transfer is in accordance with the law or necessary to perform the service ordered by the user. Co Trust may also share user’s personal information with third parties as described in this Privacy Policy. Depending on the circumstances, your data may be transferred to other entities such as sharing user personal information to fulfil a request user has made. Also, we may share user’s personal and other information with third parties when we have reason to believe that disclosure is necessary to address potential or actual injury or interference with our rights, property, operations, users, or others who may be harmed or may suffer loss or damage, or when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, investigate, enforce the policies, terms and conditions, combat fraud and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on the company.

If a user does not keep themselves anonymous, name of a user reporting an infraction will be sent to the government parastatal or organization responsible for fixing such infraction.

Comments within the communities may also be checked through an automated spam detection service.

WHAT WE DO WITH YOUR DATA

Analysis and research

Data may be collected for technical support, submitting complaints and enquiries. Users data may be processed for statistical and marketing analyses, developing marketing strategies and improving the quality of our services and performance of the mobile app.

Security

User data is used to verify activities, protect users against spam and combat harmful conduct.

Third-party banner ads

We do not use user information or share information with third parties to generate user-specific ads. Banner ads are random and do not in any way involve the process of remarketing. Company does not transfer user data to any site visited through links embedded within the mobile application.

HOW WE PROTECT YOUR DATA

User data stored and processed by us are secured in a necessary manner in accordance with applicable legal regulations. Co Trust maintains appropriate technical and organizational security measures. We ensure your data are safeguarded by highly restricting Admin access, regular automated software testing, use of firewalls and encryptions.

RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA

As a user, you have access to all data you have provided about yourself in your profile. A user has the right to limit the processing of data based on permissions granted.

Once you deactivate your account as a user, your personal data within our system is automatically erased within hours. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

User can view, edit and modify their personal information available in their profile at anytime

User comments and its metadata made in the community platform would be deleted within hours of a user deactivating their account.

CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

Co Trust may amend this Privacy Policy at any time but will inform users by sending an updated Privacy Policy to their e-mail addresses or by posting the relevant information directly on the user’s account.
